Married at First Sight Reality Show, Crazy or a Great social Experiment?

The new social experiment Married at First Sight has taken America by storm! The premise of this reality show on the FYI network is to see if a couple can meet for the first time at the altar and participate in a marriage in a span of Five weeks. If the marriage does not work out, the couple has the option of divorce! This cleverly designed show captures the attention span quickly, as one is unable to believe that there are brave souls out there willing to participate in such an experiment.

The three couples each have their individual struggles with fear of rejection, compromising, being scared to show vulnerability, and trying to figure out how to live happily ever after with a stranger! From the first episode, viewers are rooting for the couple to make it while sitting back with relief of not being thrown into such a situation.

The most intriguing couple is Monet and Vaughn. It appears that every time they take two steps forward, a situation or argument will occur that sets them four steps backwards. Monet possesses this strong, independent, healthy sense of self persona, while Vaughn is more reserved, flexible, but very sure of what he wants his wife to possess. The sexual chemistry between the two is problem free while the emotional intimacy is riddled with difficulty. Both are filled with passion about their own ideas or interpretations of marriage rather than creating together what their marriage should look like. Divorce is always an option in this experiment and it might be the very thing that is hindering the emotional connection for the two.  The audience is rooting for this couple to get out of their own way of having a successful marriage!

“Crazy” experiment or not, these couples all have something in common! They were all willing to take a risk for love, fidelity, and happily ever after.

Dr. Roz and Kil: My Wife Doesn't Fight Fair!

Dr. Roz and Kil give a advice to a husband who's wife doesn't fight fair.

When my wife and I argue, I don't feel that she fights fair. She can get away with saying things and doing things that I could never get away with. We're currently in counseling at our church right now and all of the things that the pastor and his wife tell us to do when we're arguing she never does and then when we go in to our next session she somehow finds a way to always make it my fault that she's not doing what she's suppose to be doing. I love my wife, but I don't know how we're going to survive if I'm suppose to be the man of the house but she treats my like a child. What can I do to get her to see things from where I'm standing?

Dr. Roz and Kil: My Husband Acts Like A Big Kid!

Dr. Roz and Kil give advice to a wife who feels like her husband acts like a big kid.

Kil and Roz, My husband and I have been married for three years and my main complaint with him is that he acts like a big kid! I have a 13 year old son from a previous relationship and I feel like I have two kids now! It's like these two are inseparable! They do EVERYTHING together and they seem to want the EXACT same things. For example, both of these kids have told me what they want already for Christmas, it's JULY! And guess what they want? My son wants the new xbox and my Gary wants the new Playstation! This man is 44 years old wanting the same thing my 13 year old son does! And nobody seems to see this as a problem but me! For their birthdays they both want the new jordans or throwback jordans, I can't even keep up anymore! And my biggest problem is that my husband looks at me like I'm crazy when I bring this up. I need a grown man to be my husband, not a playmate for my son!
